Brandi was diagnosed with Nodular Melanoma, an extremely aggressive type of skin cancer in March 2010. Her mission was to educate people about Melanoma, the danger of tanning beds and to start a foundation to build shades for playgrounds to protect children from the dangers of the sun.
Our mission is to keep her legacy alive, to keep informing people about Melanoma and to build playground shades to keep children safe from the dangers of the sun. Brandi Dickey’s dream was to educate people about Melanoma. It is now our mission to keep her legacy and dream alive!
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
I am an established real estate agent from Azle, TX with incredible compassion for families and victims of MELANOMA. Given a nursing background, prior to real estate, God has given me incredible empathy for those who suffer, and are affected, up close and personal to cancer of all types. I’m super anxious to get this foundation up and running in honor of my heavenly daughter, Brandi Dickey, and am confident that she is smiling due to so many efforts in cancer awareness. In addition to “lift off” of Play in the Shades, I adore my grandchildren, traveling, quality wine and investing in open hearts and hurting people.
